Two of my worlds collided recently when I was given the opportunity to contribute to the music of an ad! For An Post’s recent ads to remind consumers to get their post in early they took some great behind the scenes footage of their sorting office.
The simple message was to remind customers that “the most magical time of the year is also their busiest.”
The music was created from sounds of An Post’s sorting office machines providing a bed of activity on which we layered a reworked version of “Carol of the Bells”. I contributed the introductory synths and piano and a few little tweaks to the chord structures but the bones of the creative was completed by the geniuses at Army of Id and Radical.
