If you’re a Social Media Manager you’ve probably encountered this questions a lot:

“What’s the ROI on Social Media?”

For me I’ve always answered with the same rebuttal: “It depends on what your objective is!” which opens up a whole new debate….

But I love Gary Vaynerchuk’s analogy laid out in the Slideshare presentation below.

His rebuttal is: ROI is never about the tool, it’s about the mechanic using the tool.
